ARTfarm NYE Tuesday: sweet/spicy SALAD MIXes, fruit & herbs! 12/31/24, 4:30 – 5:30pm

Tomatoes are forming and ripening!

Happy holidays all, here comes 2025! Tuesday afternoon we’ll have sweet salad mix, baby arugula and spicy mix! Also a few fruits and herbs for the early birds. New Years Eve ARTfarm PopUp 4:30 – 5:30pm

We’ve been trialing black paper mulch this year with the watermelons and tomatoes, and both are growing nicely and forming fruits. Caterpillars are starting to lessen their impact on young plants. Papayas are recovering and very productive.

Ask about volunteering on the farm, or tell a friend if you know someone who might be interested in learning more about sustainable, regenerative gardening practices — we would love some help in the gardens and with a few other tasks as well.

No reservations; first come, first served.

Trialing black paper mulch on the ARTfarm in the 2024-2025 growing season. Seeing if it makes sense to phase out our reusable permeable woven plastic mulch we’ve used for years, for biodegradable material.
The Mongoose & Zinnia pastured chickens are thrilled with all the caterpillars and fresh grass in their moveable paddock.

See you Tuesday afternoon! 4:30 – 5:30pm.

ARTfarm Saturday Morning… Eat Us!

A honeybee collects pollen from a large pink zinnia flower among other brightly colored zinnias.
Do like this little honeybee is doing - fill your shopping bags with healthy, local, natural fare for making meals at home that will nourish your body and your family!

Eat healthy! Here’s this Saturday’s big list, getting bigger every week:

Microgreens, sweet mix, spicy mix, arugula, endive. Broccoli rabe, chicory, kale, collards, holy, lemon and italian basils, garlic chives, dill, cilantro, lemongrass, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, a few large slicer tomatoes, papayas, and coconuts…and giant colorful zinnias! Don’t forget the chocolate, including Alisha’s new revamped Sweetface coconut truffles with the purple raffia… they are little clouds of joy!

Don’t forget about our native trees! Don’t we all have a spot in the yard that needs a little carbon sequestering?

Put in an appearance at ARTfarm on Saturday morning! 10am – 12 noon tomorrow!

Heck yeah we’re open! We’ll be scurrying around putting seedlings under cover in case Maria gets rowdy, but will have plenty of MICROgreens, avocado, coconuts, water spinach, herbs, and sweet sweet mangoes for you today! Come on down to the ARTfarm and stock up on pre-storm bounty!

Nature’s Answer to the Juicebox at ARTfarm, 10am-noon Today!

We have amazingly sweet coconuts you drink right out of the nut! If you haven’t had fresh coconut juice right out of the husk, you haven’t tried what man has attempted to recreate in plastic pseudo-nutrition with Gatorade and juice boxes.

Fresh coconut juice is locally known as a kidney cleanser. It’s full of trace minerals and potassium. In wartime when plasma was not available, fresh coconut water was used in IV drips to hydrate patients in hospital.

We can cut your coconuts at the farmstand for you to drink immediately, or almost open – take a few home and stick them in the fridge. We keep a whole pitcher full of coconut water in our fridge. There is nothing better for rehydration.

For your veggie pleasure we have fresh harvested arugula, baby spicy mix, microgreens, asian spinach, garlic chives, basil, lemongrass, mangoes, avocados, Feel I’s ice cream and Sweetface chocolate!

For your yard we have native trees!

See you at the farmstand!
