ARTfarm Saturday Sweet Salad Mix PopUp Farmstand! 8/1/2026, 10:30 – 11:30 AM

Summertime is often a time of drought on St. Croix. We are in a level three drought in July-August 2026.

I hope everyone enjoyed that huge buck harvest moon this week. Despite the drought, select irrigation continues and we’ve got a few productive green patches on the farm.

We’ll be open SATURDAY 10:30am to 11:30am, and Farmer Luca will be there with summer salad sweet mix, fruits, flowers and more! Check the list below for all the details!

We’ll see you Saturday 8/1/26 from 10:30AM to 11:30AM! First come, first served.

Plenty

  • Pineapple slips for planting

  • Kafir lime leaves
  • Pomegranates
  • Key limes
  • Cheerful cut zinnia flowers
Pomegranate is a superfood. Ours are pink, sweet and juicy with soft seeds.

ARTfarm Saturday Fruit PopUp Farmstand! 5/30/2026, 10:30 – 11:30 AM

We’ll be open SATURDAY 10:30am to 11:30am, with early summer fruits, salad greens and more! Pineapples, mangoes and papaya, sweet salad mix, papaya, hot and mild peppers, herbs and kaffir limes! Check the list below for all the details.

Delicious

  • Pineapples
  • Papayas
  • Mangoes, including Carrie, Viequen Butterball, Nam doc Mai and Malika
  • Kafir lime leaves

  • Italian basil
  • Lemongrass
ARTfarm papayas are SO SWEET! Many folks shy away from papaya, but the fruit contains helpful enzymes to improve digestion. A papaya skin poultice was an old remedy for cuts and burns, and the leaves juiced are just about the bitterest thing you’ll ever consume but is taken to fight mosquito-borne rheumatic fever diseases like dengue and chikungunya. The unripe fruit makes a delicious slaw. If you haven’t been a fan, it is worth another try!

ARTfarm miniFRUITY Wednesday PopUp: 9/17/2025, 5-6pm: Dragonfruit and Mangooooooooo! Plus FARM UPDATES

Another round of dragonfruit is ready to enjoy, plus west end vibes with Palmer mangoes from Mount Victory! Come out and enjoy!

In other farm news, we are working on farm fire recovery, and we’re looking for a 20′ shipping container in good shape with no holes to store replacement materials that were lost in the massive fire in March 2025.

We are purchasing new electric fencing, irrigation equipment and other replacement supplies with funds donated for fire disaster relief. We are deeply grateful to all of you who donated, and thanks to the VI Good Food Coalition for all their hard work organizing and fundraising.

Our mango-orange hued watermelons are ready! Also dragonfruit, an assortment of mangoes still, and some salad greens and cukes! Come out and enjoy! And ask about volunteering on the farm.

(Most of our mangoes are smaller this year with the drier conditions which creates an extra intense flavor and sweetness)

  • Dragonfruit (bright red inside! Put your white cotton shirt away!)
  • Valencia Pride mangoes (popular variety with elongated shape and bright flavor)
  • Viequen Butterball mangoes

  • Mallika mango (tastes like a super sweet and creamy orange, one of Luca’s favorites)
