We attended a farming and fishery conference hosted by the VI EDA on Tuesday. Great information and inspiration. Your best health insurance is always to eat healthy and exercise, avoid stress and get good sleep, but one detail we learned, there is now a health insurance company writing individual ACA compliant policies in the territory for self employed folks. I think we’ve gone about 10 years where no one could acquire individual health insurance for themselves or their family. These plans appear not to be comprehensive health care but they are a new, relatively more affordable option. We felt this was big enough news to share and worth checking out, especially for those going with no health insurance whatsoever. Do your due diligence, we are not endorsing this company/product but just wanted to let people know that it’s out there. Check out the ‘evac’ plans from elan.insure. Omar Haedo, you’re welcome.

We look forward to seeing your healthy selves at the farmstand from 3 to 4:30pm!
