Saturday 10am – 12noon Tomatofest!!

ARTfarm is awash in the juicy, sweet, flavorful fruits of the solanum lycopersicum plant! From the absolute candy-sweet explosion of a cherry tomato to the richness of the big juicy sandwich sized slicers and heirloom tomatoes to the mellow pungent complexity of a plum tomato, there are possibilities to be explored here! As with all harvests, it is a glorious but brief moment to enjoy, so get yourself over here this morning from 10 AM – 12 noon and enjoy this seasonal treat!

To go with your tomatoes: Sweet salad mix, spicy salad mix, teen arugula, baby arugula, baby spicy salad mix, microgreens, cucumbers, more tomatoes of all types, sizes and colors, purple yard long beans, kale, dandelion greens, beets, two types of radishes, sweet peppers, chili peppers, fresh ginger root, Italian basil, lemon basil, holy basil, lemongrass, dill, cilantro, mint, parsley, scallions, a few bunches of bulb onions, passionfruit and zinnia flowers.

From our partners: we have been regularly selling out of I-Sha’s vegan ice cream in unusual local fruit (and even vegetable) flavors and we have a new batch today! Miss Wanda Wright will bee here again this morning with her homemade salad dressings and meads (apeterif honey wines with fruit infusions) made from the bounty of her beehives. Also, to go with all the salsa and Bloody Marys you’ll be making, don’t forget to pick up a few kafir and key limes grown at Spring Gut Orchards.

The Usual Deliciousness, 3–6 p.m. Today!

ARTfarm Wednesday afternoon stand: Sweet salad mix, teen arugula, spicy salad mix, microgreens, escarole, kale, cucumbers, beets, radishes, scallions, Italian basil, cilantro, parsley, dill, garlic chives, lemongrass, passionfruit, long beans, zinnia flowers, and loads of tomatoes: cherry tomatoes and all types of larger tomatoes! From our partner I-Sha, vegan ice cream in a multitude of local fruit flavors – we are starting to run a little low on spoons, so if you’ve borrowed one or two of ours, please bring us back one or two!

ARTfarm Wednesday 3-6pm

Come south to our little oasis after work this afternoon and beat the Saturday crowds: Sweet salad mix, baby spicy salad mix, baby arugula, cucumbers, lots of tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, last of the sweet corn, Italian basil, kale, radishes, beets, escarole, dandelion greens, chili peppers, dill, cilantro, parsley, garlic chives, mint, recao (culantro) and zinnia flowers. All organically grown with rainwater irrigation.

Monday 3-6, MLKJR Day

Happy birthday to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose commitment to justice made so much possible. May his memory inspire everyone’s Day of Service. Selma is still playing at Sunny Isle through Wednesday.

From our partners we have vegan ice cream, a perfect little afternoon treat from I-Sha. Coconut is good for you!IMG_7633.JPGBeneficial lacewings drying out from heavy dew on seeding hurricane grass. Lacewing eggs look like tiny threads with white dots suspended from them and can be found on any grass-like structure, including the laundry line.
