…some crazy chefs flew in from St. Thomas and started eating the Dragonfruit right off the vine. We had to smack their little hands and usher them away from the plant.

Malika mangoes have a citrusy flavor mixed with sweet. The flavor almost reminds us of that 1960s space age powdered orange juice called “Tang.”

We are sleepy at ARTfarm this morning. We had to get up at 11 o’clock last night and go out and pollinate the dragonfruit. And one of our neighbor’s cows got out early early early this morning, and more are trying, so take it easy and enjoy the 35mph speed limit on South Shore Rd. please!
Saturday morning at ARTfarm: Lots of lettuce salad mix mixed with micro, lots of cucumbers, lots of papaya from Solitude Farm, microgreens, baby arugula, mangoes from Alex, three luscious dragonfruit from ARTfarm harvested this morning, recao, garlic chives, figs, breads and fresh baked bagels from Tess (they make incredible French toast, thanks for asking), local raw honey from Wanda at the Wright Apiary.
A dramatic rinse cycle early this morning has precluded the harvesting of copious salad greens. Temporarily limited amounts of lettuce products today, followed by plentier on Wednesday. Open today, 10 AM to 12 noon: Try a taste of dragonfruit! Lots of cucumbers, what is clearly the penultimate last of the tomatoes even though last time we swore it was the end, Bodhi beans, limited amounts of salad greens, micro arugula, Kan-Kong water spinach, chives, basils, recao (culantro), figs, lots of mangoes, pineapples, papayas and dragonfruit by Reuben, bread and bagels by Tess, honey by Wanda Wright!
