Whoopsie Wednesday

An earlier version of this post was accidentally published before it was edited. Sorry for any typos.

How did it get to be Wednesday so fast? From 3–6 p.m. today we will have lots of pineapple, *awesome* sweet potatoes, pumpkin, limited salad greens, bell peppers, seasoning peppers, serrano peppers, garlic chives, recao, Thai basil, Italian basil, ginger root, passionfruit, pineapple, papaya, a few bags of Mediterranean figs and colorful zinnia flowers. From our partners we have beautiful mangoes from Tropical Exotics and in a perfect pairing with those, fresh goat cheese from Fiddlewood Farm!

Try mango and goat cheese together where you’d use tomatoes and mozzarella… Call us crazy but we think it’s outrageously tasty!!!

Pineapple Party: Saturday 10am – 12 noon

Salad is back! And some beautiful fruit including quite a few pineapples, outrageously sweet papaya, mangoes, and the beginning of a nice run of dragonfruit!

Sweet salad mix, micro arugula, baby spicy mix, teen arugula, teen spicy mix, sweet bell peppers, sweet potatoes, Cinderella pumpkin, seasoning peppers, serrano peppers, garlic chives, recao, lemongrass, mint, lemon basil, Thai basil, Italian basil, the last of the fresh ginger root for a bit, passionfruit, dragonfruit, pineapple, papaya, Thai and Indian melons, a few bags of Mediterranean figs, fresh picked zinnia flowers, and from our partners we have Thai mangoes from Tropical Exotics and fresh, delicately flavored goat cheese from St. Croix’s own Fiddlewood Farm.

Come down the South Shore and pay us a visit in the morning! Open 10 AM–12 noon Saturdays and 3–6 PM on Wednesday afternoons.

Hooray for Summer Rain!

The Cinderella pumpkin has a thick dry flesh that is very sweet with few seeds.
Red skinned sweet potatoes are orange inside. We love eating pumpkin, sweet potato and sweet peppers chopped and sautéed with yellow seasoning peppers and cumin over rice. Delicious and highly nutritious!
Hopefully this nice thunderstorm and overnight rain will help the lettuce rejuvenate; however, for the meantime, expect the typical reduced availability of salad greens at this time of year.

Wednesday ARTfarm, 3–6pm: sweet bell peppers, seasoning peppers, serrano peppers, garlic chives, lemongrass, Italian basil, loads of papaya, a few passionfruit, a few bags of Mediterranean figs, good quantities of pineapple, a few watermelons (pieces and whole), pumpkin that just keeps getting sweeter, freshly harvested zinnia flowers, and from our partners we have Fiddlewood Farm fresh goat cheese and Tropical Exotics’ nam doc mai mangoes.

Congratulations to all the recent graduates and hard-working students heading into a well-deserved summer of play, beach time and leisure reading. Life is good! And our thanks for making it all possible, to our veterans and service members.

See you this afternoon down the South Shore, 3 to 6 PM! Thank you for your support.
