Saturday As-Usual This Weekend 

Lots of sunflowers developing seed heads on the farm right now. Too mature for cut flowers but beautiful nonetheless.
Yes we are open regular hours tomorrow (Saturday 10 am – 12 noon). 

Similar line up to last weekend, so ‘later’ birds will still get salad greens and tomatoes and herbs: Sweet lettuce mix, teen arugula, teen spicy salad mix, romaine and other assorted lettuce heads, loads of tomatoes (all types), lots of cucumbers, bell peppers, five types of medium to hot peppers, baby ginger root, baby turmeric, sweet potatoes, radishes, onions, scallions, cooking greens, Italian basil, lemon basil, holy basil, cilantro, dill, recao, rosemary, thyme, mint, lemongrass, dandelion greens, different types of pumpkins, a few slices of watermelon, loads of papaya, a few bags of figs, and lots of zinnia flowers. We also have young lignum vitae trees in 3–5 gallon pots. 

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Ag Fair this weekend. Also check out Luca’s new works at the CMCArts group show in Frederiksted. Great exhibition opening last night!

Wednesday Peak Season Yums!

Farmer Luca in the ARTbarn Monday, coming in under deadline for the New Blood exhibition opening on Friday at CMCArts!
We are open today 3 – 5:30 PM down the South Shore. Come out and see us, we have so much to offer and we grew it all for you! 

Sweet salad mix, a little bit of arugula and spicy, lots of tomatoes all types, cucumbers, lots of pumpkins, a few bell peppers, all of our other mild-to-hot peppers, cooking greens, Italian basil, cilantro, garlic chives, dill, parsley, dandelion greens, baby ginger and baby turmeric, radishes, onions, scallions, romaine lettuce heads, lots of papaya, a few slices of watermelon, more figs than we’ve had in a while, and lots of cut flowers (mostly zinnias)!

So fresh, so healthy! Come out, come out and chat with your neighbors! We love to see you.

It’s the height of the production curve for us, the time of year when we wish we could clone ourselves. Yet it’s really gratifying to hear how much our customers appreciate what we do and to distribute hundreds of pounds of food every week, grown sustainably. 

Sweet lettuce mix, baby arugula, teen spicy salad mix, romaine and other assorted lettuce heads, loads of tomatoes (all types), lots of cucumbers, bell peppers, five types of medium to hot peppers, baby ginger root, baby turmeric, Editsweet potatoes, radishes, onions, scallions, cooking greens, Italian basil, lemon basil, holy basil, cilantro, dill, recao, rosemary, thyme, mint, lemongrass, dandelion greens, different types of pumpkins, a few slices of watermelon, loads of papaya, a few bags of figs, lots of sunflowers and zinnia flowers and let’s not forget our wonderful carrots in all their dramatic shapes. We also have young lignum vitae trees in 3–5 gallon pots. 

Special guest treats for Saturday morning: local honey from Errol, fresh goat cheese from Fiddlewood Farm, AND our neighbor Jimmy will be here in the ‘fisherman’s spot’, offering some of his fresh pasture-raised south shore ground lamb and leg of lamb.

Farmer Jenni V (pictured, currently the Education Coordinator for the St. Croix Environmental Association) is hosting a beach cleanup at Southgate Coastal Reserve (just east of Cheeseburgers and west of Chenay Bay) this Sunday morning, February 12th 2017 from 8 AM to 12 noon. We’ll have a dumpster to fill and need volunteers to come out and help! Please plan to join us and bring water, snacks, sun protection, sturdy shoes and work gloves! We LOVE you St. Croix!!!
