Good morning, I purchased one of the sugar baby watermelons and a slice yesterday. Unfortunately, the sugar baby was not ripe when I cut it open. I am attaching pics and wanted to know if I can possibly receive a credit, as I believe I paid around $18 for the melon and one cut slice. I was not sure of your policy on this. I gave the slice away to a friend so unfortunately I didn’t get to sample any of the ripe ones. Sad. Thanks! Tracy

Good morning Tracy.
We are so sorry the melon wasn’t ripe! Of course we will credit you toward a replacement.
Discerning the ripeness of watermelons when we harvest them is always quite tricky – this is why we prefer to sell cut pieces instead of the whole melons for the most part, so that we have a chance to do quality control. We definitely appreciate customer feedback. We don’t grow sugar babies, but we do grow a couple of varieties that resemble that type.
So sorry for the inconvenience. Please contact us directly via the farm phone and we will take care of this right away!

… Please save the fruit. We would like to see it, it helps us to continue to learn which items are ripe in the picking process. We try new varieties every year so there is always a learning curve for the farmer.
Tracy, we don’t have your contact information so please do get in touch via phone or text.
