Today’s farmstand: spicy salad mix, sweet salad mix, microgreens, arugula, cherry tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, slicer tomatoes, carrots, onions, yes onions, chinese cabbage, mustard greens, trace amounts of broccoli and corn for the early birds, garlic chives, cilantro, recao, lemon basil, holy basil, Broccoli greens, chili peppers, radishes, and ice cream.

Saturday 10-12 ARTfarm Report

ARTfarm Saturday Morning Prediction: We will experience a strong front of salad greens, with ‘I’m not a baby anymore’ teen spicy salad mix, teen arugula, sweet salad mix, and spicy salad mix. The salad greens will be heavy at times throughout the morning, accompanied by flash flooding of cherry tomatoes, slicing tomatoes, and heirloom tomatoes. Cucumbers are appearing on the radar, followed by Bodhi beans, with intermittent light sprinkles of corn, peppers, eggplant and broccoli. Carrots and bulb onions will taper off by 11am, with 90% chance of flat leaf parsley, cilantro, recao, lemon basil, holy basil, Italian basil, garlic chives, kale, collard greens, Chinese cabbage, dandelion greens, chili peppers, passionfruit, zinnia flowers, lemongrass, and sweet potato greens. 20140201-072907.jpg

ARTfarm Saturday: Tomato Vortex

Big tomatoes, little tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes… Yellow, orange, green, purple and classic red tomatoes. Ridiculous, innumerable, vine-ripened, juicy, intense, sweet South Shore ARTfarm tomatoes. Fed nothing but homemade compost and collected rainwater. Eat them!!

To go with your tomatoes: Sweet salad mix, spicy salad mix, baby spicy salad mix, baby arugula, cucumbers, carrots, onions, radishes, kale, collards, baby fennel, dandelion greens, kang-kon (asian water spinach), broccoli, bodhi beans, eggplant, sweet bell peppers, hot chili peppers, cilantro, recao, rosemary, thyme, flat leaf parsley, Italian basil, holy basil, Thai basil, lemon basil, lemon balm, lemongrass, a sprinkling of Mediterranean figs, passionfruit and fresh-cut zinnia flowers.
