ARTfarm Wednesday: Lots of Fruit! 3-6pm

Luca enjoyed being out in the rain showers this morning to harvest for you: Salad mix, microgreens, baby spicy salad mix, baby arugula, lots of cucumbers, onions, radishes, Italian basil, recao (a crunchy type of cilantro; Martha Stewart’s personal favorite), Cuban oregano, rosemary, super sweet papaya, passionfruit, Mediterranean figs, and kidney and Julie mangoes. From our partners: Nam Doc Mai mangoes from Tropical Exotics, dragonfruit from Solitude Farm, and honey from Errol Chichester!

It’s a perfectly beautiful day with a gorgeous post-shower blue sky. Take a break and come down the South Shore to get some fresh goodies for your table.

ARTfarm morning update… Nam doc Mai

Okay people. Nam doc Mai mangoes in the house. Creamy, yellow flesh and an unmistakable profile. Those in the know will be revving their engines and hitting the South Shore Rd. as soon as they read half of this email. 20140705-091932-33572601.jpgIf you did not see the dragonfruit video in our last email this morning, here is the link: I LOOOOOOVE dragonfruit

Dragonfruit Mania Wednesday at ARTfarm

20140702-152520-55520442.jpg …some crazy chefs flew in from St. Thomas and started eating the Dragonfruit right off the vine. We had to smack their little hands and usher them away from the plant.

Sweet mix, baby arugula, microgreens, sweet salad mix, spicy salad mix, crispy cucumbers, Italian basil, fresh rosemary, fresh beautiful bananas, pineapples, passionfruit, tamarind pods, mangoes. From our partners, delicious vegan ice cream from Feel I and raw local honey from Errol.

ARTfarm Summer Fruity Fruitiness. 10 AM – 12 noon today!

Look at the sweet bounty! 20140628-080301-28981540.jpg
Sweet salad mix, microgreens, cucumbers, onions, beets, radishes, Italian basil, garlic chives, recao, dill, lemongrass, passionfruit, papayas, bananas and pineapples. From our partners: Julie & Malika mangoes from Alex, dragonfruit from Solitude Farm, ice cream from I-Sha (Feel-I), beautiful fresh bread loaves from Tess, and raw local honey from Errol!

Malika mangoes have a citrusy flavor mixed with sweet. The flavor almost reminds us of that 1960s space age powdered orange juice called “Tang.”
