Today we bring you the wondrous and rare Mamey Apple. Come and enjoy a taste, and take home one of these delicious globes of fruity wonder. The brown, rough skin easily peels off to reveal its golden orange firm flesh inside. The taste has hints of apple, papaya, mango – it has a citrusy tang on the finish and a slightly mealy and firm texture like an apple or a pear. The mamey apple is a relatively rare fruit, not widely cultivated. So it is an especially fantastic local treat. Try one! From Alex Etienne’s Tropical Exotics farm.

Sweet salad mix, baby spicy salad mix, microgreens, garlic chives, lemongrass, lemon basil, Italian basil, Thai basil, cilantro, dill, kale, broccoli greens, sweet potato greens, thyme, beets, radishes, onions, carrots, crispy cucumbers, fresh ripe tamarind pods, pineapples, passionfruit, key limes, black sapote (chocolate pudding fruit), papaya! 20140607-094149-34909241.jpg

Oh yeah, and thanks to customer Malerie Gleason for pointing out on Facebook that we forgot to mention tomatoes. Yes, we have tomatoes. Lots and lots of beautiful organically grown tomatoes.

Thanks for all your support! We appreciate every customer who comes through the gate. Couldn’t do it without you. 20140402-130909.jpg
