IndependenSaturDay ARTfarm 10 AM – 12 noon

O say can you enjoy a safe and celebratory holiday weekend? Join us on this blockbuster Saturday July morning, when we will have small amounts of salad greens made fresh at the dawn’s early light!

Grown right here at ARTfarm for you: Sweet salad mix, baby spicy salad mix, baby arugula, loads of sweet potatoes, pumpkin, small bell peppers, hot Indian chili peppers, Italian basil, garlic chives, loads of sweet papaya, pineapples, pineapple slips, a few bags of figs, a few Julie mangoes and zinnias…

From our Alliance of Agriculture we have Tita’s amazing butterball mangoes, Malika and(hopefully) Nam doc Mai mangoes from Tropical Exotics, Fiddlewood Farm’s revelatory fresh goat cheese and from a neighbor we have fresh eggs, and assorted veggies.

This is an excellent weekend to reflect on the many freedoms we enjoy. Let us not take any of our freedoms for granted for they are hard won. We salute all those who have fought and paid a heavy price for freedom and equality. In between the hotdogs and the fireworks this weekend, take a moment and resolve to speak out or act when you encounter injustice. Pay it forward.

Penultimatlish Fruity ARTfarm Wednesday, 3-6pm

Come and get your fruit on, mid-week, before we taper the farmstand summer schedule back to Saturday mornings only. (It should be another week or two or less before we pull the plug on “hump day” afternoon farmstands.)

Grown organically for you, right here at ARTfarm: Loads of sweet papaya, pineapples, sweet potatoes, a few watermelons, Italian basil, garlic chives, zinnia flowers, pumpkin, pineapple slips to grow your own!

From our partners and neighbors we will have loads of incredible butterball and Malika mangoes. We will also have lemon basil, parsley, dandelion greens, Padrone peppers and farm fresh local eggs.

No salad greens until Saturday – and quantities are very limited as we head into the hottest part of the year.

Love, ARTfarm

ARTfarm Saturday Sweetness Forecast: 10am – 12 noon

Saturday morning’s farm forecast is about 90% accurate and includes light sprinklings of salad and squalls of squash with heavy summer fruits and tubers.

We should see small amounts of sweet salad mix, baby arugula, baby spicy, intermittent pineapple, pink and red fleshed dragonfruit, loads of papaya, small pumpkins with intense rich sweet flavor, lots of orange fleshed sweet potato, sweet bell peppers, seasoning peppers, hot peppers, garlic chives, recao, Italian basil, and zinnia flowers.

From our partners: we have light fluffy clouds of fresh goat cheese coming in from the west northwest of Dr. Bradford’s Fiddlewood Farm, and three types of mangoes predicted from Alex at Tropical Exotics Farm: Nam doc Mai, Malika and Julies. We also have the first of the Vieqen Butterball mangoes. And from a neighbor’s farm we have fresh eggs, lemon basil and dandelion greens!
