Coconuts, fruits and honey at ARTfarm today!

Coconut water is back in time for the hot days of summer!! Fresh coconuts cut to order, bananas, Haitian kidney and Nam Duc Mai mangoes from Alex Ettienne, ARTfarm Julie mangoes, pineapples and papaya!! Microgreens, Kang-Kong (Asian spinach), sweet peppers, hot peppers, cherry tomatoes, beets, scallions, bok choi, Bodhi yard-long beans, garlic chives, lemongrass, zinnia flowers; italian, lemon, thai and holy basil; native trees, and pineapple slips. Wanda’s raw honey today is super-fresh with a subtle cinnamon fragrance.

Please remember to bring your shopping baskets or reusable bags, as we are phasing out the use and reuse of plastic shopping bags at the farmstand. We still have a few ARTfarm reusable bags for sale; please ask.

ARTfarm is open 10am – 12 noon every Saturday. We are discontinuing Monday farmstands until next year. Wednesday hours are now 3-6pm! Thanks for loving local!

In local ART news, tonight is the last night to see the fantastic two-hour performance of the Caribbean Dance Company ensemble and students at the airconditioned Complex High School auditorium starting at 7 PM. Tickets are a $15 donation and are available at the door. Lots of snacks and light dinner items are available during intermission at the concession area. Inspiration and entertainment for all ages!

Fruity Saturday at ARTfarm

It’s officially mango season!! Today’s stand starts with a mélange of sweet and juicy local fruit: bananas from Reuben Liburd, Haitian kidney and Nam Duc Mai mangoes from Alex Ettienne, ARTfarm pineapples & papaya!! Microgreens, Kan-Kong (Asian spinach), sweet peppers, hot peppers, cherry tomatoes, pumpkin, beets, scallions, bok choi, Bodhi yard-long beans, garlic chives; italian, lemon, thai and holy basil;  lemongrass, zinnia flowers; native trees, and pineapple slips.

Wednesday Farm Goods!

3-6 today! Pineapple. All basils. Chives. Lemon grass. Thyme. Scallions. Kan kong (Asian cooking green). Tomatoes — very few. Papaya. Pumpkin. Hot and sweet peppers. Bodhi beans. Sweet mix. Microgreens. Bok choi from Leslie. Bananas from Ruben. Zinnia flowers. Pineapple slips. Native trees. Feel I’s vegan ice cream!

Schedule change for ARTfarmstands

No more Monday ARTfarmstands until the fall. The ARTfarm gardens are starting their well-deserved summer rest.

We will continue to be open for slightly expanded hours on Wednesdays: 3 PM to 6 PM, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 12 noon.

Soon come mango season, and soon end: tomatoes. The corn plants are getting quite tall, and the zinnias continue to bloom. We will continue to have microgreens, salads, a few herbs and veggies, fruit, and other seasonal treats throughout most of the summer.
